Watch Old Dominion University’s historic football opening game live on Cox 11!
Cox 11 will present exclusive live coverage of the return of football to Old Dominion University September 5 at 6:00 p.m. The historic game features the ODU Monarchs taking on Chowan University Hawks at the newly renovated Foreman Field at SB Ballard Stadium in Norfolk.
Produced exclusively by Cox for ODU, the game will be carried live on Cox systems in Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia and Roanoke, as well as in Richmond and other parts of the state via The Comcast Network.
The talent for the broadcast includes Play-by-Play announcer John Castleberry, a long-time regional sports broadcaster, Ray Tate a member of the University of Richmond sports Hall of Fame and long-time announcer for the Spiders as analyst, and Eric Worden, a local radio personality who will serve as sideline reporter during the game.

Homecoming Episode 2 airs on August 30
On Sunday, August 30, Cox 11 will premiere "Homecoming: Episode 2". Homecoming: Episode 2 is a video snapshot of the reunion of local military personnel who have come home from several military deployments. Episode 2 features the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Strike Group, among other groups, who are being reconnected with their loved ones in Hampton Roads.
