Smart Choices for Your Cox Digital Home

Cox recognizes the growing threat of bullying behavior in our schools, playgrounds, communities and online. As part of the Cox Communications commitment to support youth and education throughout our communities Cox is proud to offer Plugged In: Breaking the Bully Culture special on Cox 11 Hampton Roads as a way to give parents and young people tips and resources for recognizing and coping with bullying.

This Plugged In special is the kick-off to a state-wide anti-bullying campaign launched by Cox Virginia. The three month long campaign will include public service announcements hosted by local radio personalities, as well as free informational resource cards for kids and parents, and "Take Charge! Stop the Bullying" wristbands available at Cox Solutions Stores. There will be additional airings of this show throughout December and January and can also be seen on On Demand channel 2069.

About Take Charge!

Take Charge! is a community outreach campaign to empower parents and caregivers to manage their children's access to mass media content. The initiative strives to increase customers' awareness and use of the parental controls and filtering tools already available on their cable and Internet services. Cox has joined forces with chidlren's advocate and TV host John Walsh to educate families nationwide about this vital issue. Providing tools and resources that are easy to understand and implement, Take Charge! helps parents find great educational TV shows and web sites while keeping their families safe from content they find objectionable.
