About Samantha Brown's Great Weekends

Samantha's back with her definitive guide to the very best in weekend getaways. From Sundance to Montreal, or Philadelphia  to Savannah, "Great Weekends" will have Sam traveling to destinations all across the U.S. and worldwide.

Samantha knows travel; she practically lives on the road. So in this series, she's taking you to all of her favorite places and her go-to hotels, restaurants and activities in each place. Plus, she'll take you to her secret, off-the-beaten-path discoveries, the places that she's found on her travels that she doesn't normally share. And, as usual, Sam will be meeting up with fantastic people that really make these places unique.

Think you need more than a weekend for a great escape? Think again.

About Samantha

Samantha

As Travel Channel's primary travel maven, Samantha Brown has visited dozens of countries, hundreds of cities and countless hotels around the world.  Samantha explores the perfect travel destinations for weekend getaways in the most recent edition to her travel series, "Samantha Brown's Great Weekends."

Previously, Sam focused on Asia, traveling through various areas of China for "Samantha Brown: Passport to China." Also in "Passport to Latin America," Samantha took viewers to 20 cities, revealing colorful landscapes and warm populations in the magnificent countries of Latin America; and prior to that, Samantha immersed herself in European culture traveling to 65 destinations from magnificent capitals to tiny mountain top villages to ancient seacoast towns in "Passport to Europe."

Before the "Passport" series, Samantha hosted several successful shows with Travel Channel, staying in "Great Hotels" and visiting other people's "Great Vacation Homes" to see how they live. She has also discovered the extraordinary beauty of the Hawaiian culture in "Girl Meets Hawaii."

Above all, Samantha has truly enjoyed showing viewers how extraordinary it is just being a part of everyday life in another part of the world and how the language barrier can sometimes be a bridge to a deeper communication, one that is respected and cherished.
