Rell Invited To Tour Planned Bridgeport Detention Site

(Bridgeport, CT) -- Bridgeport state Representative Chris Caruso has invited Governor Jodi Rell to tour the proposed site of a juvenile detention center for girls in his city. Caruso says a walking tour of the neighborhood would show the governor that it is the wrong site for the facility. Caruso was able to successfully lobby to have the 15-million-dollars for the facility removed from the State Bond Commission agenda at the last minute last week. He has sent a letter to the governor extending the invitation for a tour, and says he is willing to work around the governor's schedule to make it happen.
