(Hartford, CT) -- November is national adoption awareness month. Governor Jodi Rell says it is an important time to celebrate the joys of adoption, both for the children and the adults who adopt them. Rell says Connecticut has made great strides in encouraging adoption, and says the state is launching an effort to encourage more adoption of foster children. She says no legal fees are involved in foster adoptions, and most families who adopt foster children can receive a subsidy to help pay for the cost of raising a child.
