Duplex Burns In Plainfield

(Plainfield, CT) -- A two family home was badly damaged by a Monday morning fire. The flames broke out at the duplex on Sixth Street at around 10:40 a.m. Two residents of one of the units and a dog were rescued from the fire, which brought mutual aid from five surrounding towns. The right half of the building was badly damaged by flames, while the other side sustained smoke damage. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
