(New Haven, CT) -- The federal Drug Enforcement Agency has made eleven arrests as part of an investigation into heroin trafficking in the New Haven area. Federal prosecutors say the arrests come as part of "Operation Oceanfront," a long term investigation where controlled purchased of heroin were made by undercover agents and thousands of phone calls about drugs were intercepted. All of the defendants were arrested last week. Several of those arrested are facing a possible sentence of life in prison if convicted.
