Blumenthal Probes Alleged Flu Vaccine Price Gouging

(Hartford, CT) -- Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is investigating allegations that the makers and distributors of the seasonal flu vaccine are price gouging. Blumenthal says his office has received complaints of seasonal flu shots being offered at many times the normal price, sometimes more than a hundred-dollars a shot. Blumenthal is asking vaccine makers and distributors to detail their prices, supply levels and distribution methods to guard against favoritism being given to big retailers and price gouging.
