6th Annual Safe Kids! Fair
Because of the U.S. Marshals Service dedication to protecting children, the U.S. Marshals Museum hosts this free event that provides educational materials and demonstrations on using 911, internet safety, fire safety, and much, much more.
When: Friday, May 17
3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Pendergraft Park
Families are encouraged to bring their children for DNA Life Print kits, which include fingerprints, photographs, and DNA swabbing. The kits are designed to last for years and help in the event a child goes missing. Area law enforcement agencies and corporations will also be on hand to teach children important skills such as how to properly use 911, electrical safety, and how to safely exit a burning building.
This event offers children and parents the opportunity to meet representatives from multiple agencies, learn ways to protect themselves, and learn how to talk about difficult topics--all in one location.
