Cox Charities is committed to building, strengthening and investing in Arizona communities by raising and granting funds and mobilizing employee giving and selfless service. Created in 1996 to extend Cox's support for the communities we serve beyond the company's corporate contributions, Cox Charities has awarded nearly $3 million in grants to hundreds of non-profit organizations across Arizona.

Cox Charities operates in partnership with the Valley of the Sun United Way and the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona. Funds are raised through employee contributions, special events, and partnerships with organizations like the Arabian Horse Association, Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction, Celebrity Fight Night, Scottsdale Culinary Festival, the Thunderbirds Waste Management Phoenix Open, and more. Cox customers can also help by checking the designated box and adding a $1 contribution onto their monthly bill.

In 2010, Cox Charities was proud to award $470,000 in grants to 74 Arizona non-profits for youth education programs. Many of these programs have been featured in the Cox7-AZ exclusive program, Doing More For Arizona: Cox Charities.
