Caller ID Per Call Blocking

Last Updated: Wed, 02 Nov 2016 > Related Articles

Summary

Learn how to hide the display of your number on Caller ID devices.

Solution

How it works: By dialing a code before you place a call, you can prevent your name and number from appearing on the Caller ID display of the person receiving your call.

To turn on the service, follow the steps below.

  1. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *67.

Note: You must press *67 before each call you place. Otherwise, your name and phone number will be released to the person receiving your call.

  3. Dial the number you are calling as usual.
  4. The person you called will not be able to see your name or number displayed on their telephone display screen. Instead, a "P" or "Private" is displayed.
