Check Your TV Settings

If you recently watched a movie or played games on your TV, settings may have changed. Follow these steps to check your TV settings.


Follow the steps below to check your TV settings.

  1. Press the INPUT button on the TV or on the remote control that came with the TV.
    Note: The button my be labeled TV/VIDEO, SOURCE, or ANTENNA.
    Result: A menu displays on the TV screen.
  2. Select the option for TV.

    • The option may be labeled Cable TV, CATV, CAB, Input 1, Video 1, Antenna 1, AV1, HDMI, DVI, or other name. Check your TV user manual.
    • Usually, the label describes the type of connection from the cable box to the TV; for example; cable, AV, HDMI, DVI, or Component.
  3. Or select each option, one at a time, returning to live TV to see if the option restored the picture.
