Bypass Your Video Equipment

Last Updated: Wed, 10 Aug 2011 > Related Articles

If you are still experiencing problems with your TV picture, try bypassing all external equipment to test the signal and cable.

 Bypass Equipment
Turn off your television and external video equipment (DVR, DVD player, etc.)
Disconnect the primary coax cable from the device where it is connected.
On your TV, disconnect whatever cord occupies the coax port.
Connect the primary coax cable to your TV's coax port.
Turn on your television.

If this resolves your picture problem, there is likely a settings problem in your video equipment. Consult the Owner's Manual or manufacturer website for each device.
