Disabling Popups in Firefox

Learn how to disable popups in Firefox.

Solution

 

Note: This topic addresses selectively permitting or denying popups on a site-by-site basis. To enable or disable popups from all sites, see Enabling/Disabling popups.

By default, popups are disabled in the Firefox browser.

To permit popups from a given site:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click Tools, select Options .
  3. Click on the Web Features icon in the Options window:
  4. Click on Allowed Sites.
  5. Enter the site address that you wish to permit popups from:
  6. Click Allow. The popup enabled site appears in the pane underneath.
  7. Click OK.
  8. All steps complete.

     

To deny popups from a given site that you have previously enabled:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click Tools, select Options .
  3. Click on the Web Features icon in the Options window:
  4. Click on Allowed Sites.
  5. Click on the site address that you no longer wish to allow popups from:
  6. Click Remove Site . The blocked site is deleted from the list.
  7. Click OK.
