Note: Ns1.coxmail.com and ns2.coxmail.com are not local resolvers. Please use the following table to determine the DNS settings for your local market.

If you are a Cox Business subscriber and would like Cox to host your domain name on our name servers, please adjust your host records to have your domain name point to:

• ns1.coxmail.com
• ns2.coxmail.com

This is done by logging into your account with the company you registered your domain name with (e.g. Network Solutions, Register.com, etc.)

Reminder : Before you transfer your domain names to a Cox Business name server, you must have a zone file created on our server. This zone file tells the Internet where to locate the IP address for your mail server, web site, etc. Call your 24-hour support to have this set up first!

If another company other then Cox Business  hosts your domain name (Any other company other then Cox) and you want Cox to host your email so you may take advantage of our Anti-virus, Anti-spam filters and 24-hour support, you must point your MX record (mail exchange) listed in your zone file to mx.coxmail.com.
Contact the company who hosts your domain name to make this change.

Below are the Cox Business Services resolvers you will want to use to resolve DNS names. These can be used for the settings in your routers, gateways and computers. These servers are available to all Cox Business markets.

Primary name servers:
68.105.28.16 and 68.105.28.17

Secondary name servers:
68.105.29.16 and 68.105.29.17
