Summary
Quickly dial your most frequently called numbers.
Solution
How it works: You can enter up to eight or thirty telephone numbers, local or long distance, into your Speed Calling list. Then, you can reach those numbers by dialing just a one or two-digit code.
To turn on this service:
- Make a list of eight or thirty frequently dialed numbers. Assign each one a number (speed code) from 2 to 9 for an eight number list; use numbers from 20 to 49 for a thirty number list.
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Press *74.
- Listen for the dial tone.
- Dial a one-digit speed code for an eight number list; dial a two-digit code for a thirty number list.
- Dial the telephone number you wish to assign to that speed code. For long distance calls, be sure to include "1" plus the area code.
- Press #.
- Listen for the confirmation tone.
To call someone on your Speed Calling list:
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Dial the one or two-digit speed code, then press #.
To change your Speed Calling list:
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Press *74.
- Listen for the dial tone.
- Dial the speed code you wish to change.
- Listen for the cancellation tone, then dial tone. Follow steps 4-7 above to reprogram your Speed Calling list.
